Diamond Offshore’s stock gets a big boost from Noble’s $1.6 billion buyout bid

Offshore drilling contractor Noble Corp. on Monday said it will acquire rival Diamond Offshore Drilling in a cash and stock deal with an implied value of $15.52 per share.
